The hill station derived its name from the ancient shrine. The temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva is visited by a large number of devotees to seek blessing. Set atop a hill, one can see stunning views of the snow-capped Himalayas. The Shivling is laced by idols of Vishnu, Brahma, Parvati, Hanuman, Ganesh and Nandi.
